2026 Central LB JaMichael “J-Mike” Garrett commits to Ole Miss

Central LB JaMichael Garrett

Louisiana’s top-ranked uncommitted senior is no longer uncommitted.

Central linebacker JaMichael “J-Mike” Garrett announced his pledge Monday to Ole Miss after some interest in LSU, Tennessee, Clemson and others.

The speedy, 6-foot-1, 195-pound athlete at the position is the No. 13 overall prospect in Louisiana vs. All Y’all’s 2026 class rankings and top-ranked linebacker.

Garrett arrived to the Baton Rouge area earlier this year from Alabama, at which time he was committed to Auburn.

He backed off that initial pledge early this summer and began weighing other options around the region, ultimately landing now with the Rebels.

Garrett joined the Wildcats in time for spring practice, was ruled eligible by the LHSAA prior to the team’s scrimmage and has already shown his sideline-to-sideline playmaking ability for the 2024 Division-I Non-Select champs with contending goals once again in 2025.
