A second of Louisiana’s top 20 senior prospects in less than a week rejoined the uncommitted market Wednesday.

Ouachita Parish defensive tackle Dylan Berymon shared with Rivals’ Sam Spiegelman that he had decommitted from Texas.

The 6-foot-3, 305-pound athlete is that state’s No. 11 overall prospect in Louisiana vs. All Y’all’s 2026 class rankings, most recently updated prior to the season.

He ranks second in the state’s class among defensive tackles behind only Edna Karr star Richard Anderson, a longtime LSU commitment.

Berymon was an LSWA Class 5A all-state selection as a junior with 45 tackles, including 15 for loss and three sacks, plus another five hurries and a pass deflection and showed the versatility to move around the Lions’ defensive front and be a disruptive, impact player both inside and bouncing out to the edge.

He committed to Texas in June over Purdue, USC, Mississippi State and others.

Home-state LSU, Texas A&M and Ole Miss were among others who have figured prominently at different points in his recruiting process, including visiting Oxford, Miss., during this season.

Berymon joined Captain Shreve running back Jamarcea Plater, who decommitted this past week from Wake Forest, as Louisiana vs. All Y’all’s most highly ranked seniors to reopen their recruitments as “flip season” picks up in the final weeks before December’s early signing period.

Earlier Wednesday, Edna Karr standouts John Johnson and Tre Garrison announced changes in their college plans with Johnson decommitting from Liberty and Garrison flipping from Nicholls State to Washington State.

This year’s early signing period opens Dec. 3, the second year in which that timeline has shifted two weeks early and into the midst of Louisiana’s high school playoffs.
