Alexandria’s offense showed no signs of slowing down Friday night after a record-setting 2024 season as the Trojans scored 51 first-half points on their way to a 54-7 win over West Feliciana in their season opener Friday night.
Junior quarterback Karsen Sellers tossed four touchdown passes, including three to standout junior receiver Alex Fontenot, while the Trojans’ sophomore running back tandem of Noble Williams and Kason Williams combined for almost 225 rushing and receiving yards with four touchdowns between the two of them.
Noble Williams scored three times on the ground, while Kason Williams turned in the play of the night when he took a swing pass and raced down the right sideline, juking one West Feliciana defender before running over a second and slipping past a third for a 56-yard touchdown.
Alexandria scored touchdowns on their first three drives, led 31-0 after the first quarter and took a 38-0 lead just 35 seconds into the second quarter. Fontenot’s beautiful one-handed TD grab in the corner of the end zone roughly three minutes later put the Trojans ahead 48-0 and invoked the mercy-rule running clock.
