Game-by-game 2025 predictions for the LSU Tigers | PODnas

Playoffs!? We talking playoffs!?

LSU is being discussed this preseason among the nation’s more capable candidates to earn a spot in the 2025 College Football Playoff field.

The combination of returning stars such as quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, a loaded cast of weapons and star linebackers Harold Perkins Jr. and Whit Weeks paired with a major investment into key veteran additions in the transfer portal provides plenty of reason for that optimism.

But the No. 9 Tigers are also trying to get off the schneid of five straight season-opening losses (to Mississippi State, UCLA, Florida State twice and USC) and have to start this year with a top-10 matchup in hostile territory at No. 4 Clemson.

Louisiana vs. All Y’all’s “PODnas” cohosts Jerit Roser and Daniel Hawkes week-by-week and matchup-by-matchup through the next three months to predict LSU’s upcoming season and tackle the notable storylines to watch along the way.

How will the Tigers face in their trip to “the fake Death Valley” or “Death Valley Jr.,” as Hawkes and coach Brian Kelly have made habits of calling Clemson’s Memorial Stadium?

Which games are most concerning, what will LSU’s record look like come Thanksgiving weekend and, of course, will the Tigers manage to earn their first CFP appearance since the magical 2019 national championship run?

Roser and Hawkes talk through the details on the latest episode of “PODnas.”

Check out the predictions and make sure to keep up with new episodes of “PODnas” on the Louisiana vs. All Y’all channel, including preview conversations on the New Orleans Saints, Tulane, Louisiana (Lafayette), Louisiana Tech and ULM.
