The first round of the LHSAA’s football playoffs are in the books with a wide range of dominant performances, thrillers and wide-ranging highlights and storylines.

With the opening round in the books, each of the state’s eight divisions now features 16 remaining teams vying for titles.
All byes are in the rearview. Every remaining team will play Friday. And the field will halve each week until eight champions are crowned in Caesars Superdome.
