Happy Thanksgiving week to all! And particularly for the 64 Louisiana high school football teams continuing their seasons into the quarterfinals.
The holiday week is always special for the programs who have the opportunity to advance into the final week of November.
And the wealth of high-quality matchups on the field climbs notably as the postseason advances and pits an increasingly select group of competitors against one another.
This year’s second-round action provided a slew of memorable and eye-catching outcomes, including some notable upsets, and set the stage for some potentially epic quarterfinals.
Louisiana vs. All Y’all and Louisiana Football Report are excited to once again this year collaborate for weekly round-by-round recap and preview shows.
And, this week, founders Jerit Roser and Chance Hester have plenty of storylines, performances and potentially predictions to get to as we begin reaching the stage of the playoffs that allows for deeper dives on specific matchups.
Roser and Hester will begin this week’s live stream at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday and go bracket by bracket to cover the bases around the state.
All eight No. 1 and all eight No. 2 seeds remain alive after wins this past Friday, but things get dicey from there.
One No. 3 seed has already fall, and three others survived close calls.
Two different brackets have three double-digit seeds playing on Thanksgiving week, including a No. 26 seed making its first quarterfinal appearance in nearly a decade with a pair of long road trips and big upsets under its belt.
Roser and Hester will get to all of those teams and matchups and more.
