LHSAA releases 2025 football playoff brackets

The waiting and calculating is over, and the paths to Caesars Superdome are final and official.

The LHSAA released its 2025 football playoff brackets Sunday morning for all eight divisions — with four nonselect and four selection groups separated by school enrollment sizes (Division-I the largest, Division-IV the smallest).

Ruston (D-I NS), Edna Karr (D-I S), North DeSoto (D-II NS), St. Charles Catholic (D-II S), Jena (D-III NS), Lafayette Christian (D-III S), Haynesville (D-IV NS) and Westminster Christian-Opelousas (D-IV S) earned the top seeds in their respective brackets.

But no postseason since the LHSAA moved to its split select/nonselect format in 2013 has seen all No. 1 seeds reach state championship games, let alone win them.

And this year’s brackets are once again loaded with capable teams and intriguing storylines from start to finish.

Here’s a look at the top teams in each division and initial notes. Louisiana vs. All Y’all will continue to add more details to this page as well as provide additional  coverage, previews and predictions throughout the week.
