Louisiana prospects shine at Rivals Houston, plus Ahmad Hudson, Javon Vital updates | Recruit Dat Boot

Recruit Dat Boot

A few Louisiana prospects were among the biggest standouts at this month’s Rivals Camp in Houston, and another is among the headliners of a big recruiting weekend at LSU this week.

Louisiana vs. All Y’all “Recruit Dat Boot” co-hosts Jerit Roser and Sam Spiegelman returned to schedule this week after both battling some illness last week and were excited to talk through some of the state’s notable recruiting updates thus far in March.

Check out the complete episode below and, as always, on the Louisiana vs. All Y’all channel on YouTube, including the dedicated “Recruit Dat Boot” playlist. And make sure to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the conversations as the offseason recruiting action heats up.

Current John Curtis sophomore Jaden Keelen earned MVP honors among the defensive backs in Houston.

But, other than the budding 2028 star, this week’s episode featured some heavy north-Louisiana spotlights.

Franklin Parish all-stater Trey Martin continued to cement himself as one of the nation’s top 2027 running back prospects, and Ruston safety Jayden Anding made his case among the best in the country at his position with a well-rounded performance of his own.

Meanwhile, Ruston tight end Ahmad Hudson, fresh off a monster effort in his Bearcats’ state runner-up finish on the basketball court, released a list of his top six programs and will visit home-state LSU this weekend as the Tigers continue battling Nebraska and others to land one of the nation’s top 2027 football and basketball prospects.

Also, keep an eye on dynamic playmaker Javon Vital Jr., now at Lake Charles College Prep, as he appears to be inching his closer to a decision with USC seemingly surging for the prospect once considered likely LSU-bound.
