LSU continued filling out its 2026 wide-receiving corps Friday with another pair of transfers, including one familiar to many Louisiana fans.
Former St. Augustine star Josh Jackson, most recently at McNeese State, and Illinois transfer Malik Elzy both shared their commitment decisions with On3 on Friday afternoon, bringing the Tigers’ haul to 19 total players and six receivers.
Coach Lane Kiffin and his new-look staff in Baton Rouge continue to stockpile experienced weapons for an offense that will be nearly entirely rebuilt around rising sophomore running back Harlem Berry and rising junior tight end Trey’Dez Green.

Jackson was a three-star prospect out of New Orleans in the 2024 cycle and initially committed to Tulane before flipping to UAB where he saw limited action as a true freshman.
The 6-foot-2, 205-pound pass-catcher moved over to home-state McNeese State this past year and caught 20 passes for 258 yards, good enough for third-most on a modest and balanced Cowboys passing attack.
Elzy was a four-star signee out of Simeon High in Chicago in 2023 and appeared in a combined 19 games his first two seasons with the Illini and caught nine passes for 129 yards and two touchdowns.
The 6-foot-2, 215-pound played in four games this fall with seven catches for 84 yards before departing the program in late September to preserve his year of eligibility before entering the transfer portal.
Jackson and Elzy will have three and two remaining years available, respectively.
LSU has now added a total of six receivers during the past five days, along with a pair of running backs and a tight end.
Wide receivers Jackson Harris (Hawaii), Eugene “Tre” Brown III (Old Dominion), Jayce Brown (Kansas State) and Eugene “Tre” Wilson III (Florida) were all among the Tigers’ first nine signings of the week as Kiffin and company come out the gates hot in their restocking of the offensive roster.
Running backs Raycine Guillory (Utah) and Rod Gainey Jr. (Charlotte) and tight end Malachi Thomas (Pittsburgh) were also among the initial new editions in the opening days of the 2026 transfer portal window.
LSU has also heavily bolstered its defensive front, both inside and on the edge, and special teams during the past few days.
Now, as the 15-day transfer-portal window enters its second week, focus heightens on the quarterback room in Baton Rouge as Garrett Nussmeier heads to the NFL and Michael Van Buren Jr. and Colin Hurley exit via the transfer portal.
One of the most notable names on the Tigers’ radar, Arizona State star Sam Leavitt, visited campus this week and has continued to make further trips as he weighs his options.
Cincinnati’s Brendan Sorsby has reportedly agreed to a lucrative deal with Texas Tech, and Washington star Demond Williams Jr. opted to return to the Huskies after a brief flirtation with a move elsewhere.
Elon quarterback Landen Clark has also arrived to Baton Rouge for a visit, ESPN 104.5’s Matt Moscona reported Friday.
