LVAY’s ‘Shootouts & Shutouts’ for LHSAA Week 2

Louisiana vs. All Y’all introduced the new “Shootouts & Shutouts” feature in Week 1.

And, by Thursday of Week 2, a few teams looked like they were trying to perfect the craft and break some records.

Lake Charles College Prep came back to beat Barbe, 70-65, in far-and-away the highest-scoring game of the season thus far, with another Thursday game, St. Amant’s 60-56 survival of Cecilia, next on the list.

Belle Chasse also notched the largest victory of the season thus far with a 70-0 shutout of East Jefferson.

A reminder that we’ll define shootouts as games featuring at least 70 combined points and with final margins within single digits. Shutouts, well, shutouts should be pretty self-explanatory.

We’ll compile the lists from games the scores for which have been officially submitted to the LHSAA. But feel free to let us know if you have another score that should be included, but has yet to be submitted.
