The third week of Louisiana’s high school football season saw several of the most eye-popping final scores yet.
Three different matchups in three different regions surpassed the combined 100-point mark in Week 3 to highlight the latest “Shootouts” list, which nearly tripled last week’s group.
Fourteen different matchups hit at least 70 total points, the threshold for Louisiana vs. All Y’all’s new weekly “Shootouts & Shutouts” feature.
Topping the list: Elton scratched by Montgomery, 64-62; Episcopal (Baton Rouge) beat Metairie Park Country Day, 66-57; and Huntington beat Benton, 59-57.
Edna Karr rolled to a 63-0 defeat of McDonogh 35 for the week’s most dominant win and one of four shutouts in which the winning team scored at least 60 points.
Louisiana vs. All Y’all will compile the lists from games the scores for which have been officially submitted to the LHSAA. But feel free to let us know if you have another score that should be included, but has yet to be submitted.
A reminder that we’ll define shootouts as games featuring at least 70 combined points and with final margins within single digits. Shutouts should be pretty self-explanatory.
