The anxiety lingered an extra couple of days, but LSU secured Louisiana’s top two 2026 prospects and an impressive defensive haul before Friday’s close of the early signing period.
Edna Karr defensive tackle Richard Anderson‘s paperwork was officially reported Thursday afternoon, and two-way University Lab star Lamar Brown followed suit Friday.
Pensacola, Fla., edge rusher Trenton Henderson and Suwanee, Ga., defensive lineman Daverin “Deuce” Geralds II signed in between, helping put an emphatic exclamation on a strong week overall for new coach Lane Kiffin and the still-forming class in Baton Rouge.
Anderson and Brown had in particular toyed with the potential of delaying their signings as they awaited a better sense of what the Tigers’ staff might look like in 2026 among other assurances.
But the impressive quartet in the trenches is now locked in, along with a good foundation of the class overall, as the first major step of Kiffin and company retooling their new roster this winter.
The class now officially includes 14 prospects, including eight in-state standouts (bolded below):
WR Brayden Allen, Lafayette Christian
TE J.C. Anderson, Mt. Zion (Ill.)
