LSU offers 2026 Lafayette Christian WR Brayden Allen during Baton Rouge visit

LSU made another late move on an in-state senior wide receiver Saturday.

Lafayette Christian star Brayden Allen announced an offer from the Tigers during a visit for the home-state program’s win against SEC rival Arkansas.

The offer is the latest potential twist in a four-month span full of developments for the 6-foot-1, 175-pound Knights’ star.

Allen committed to Tulane on July 17 over Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, Boston College and a long list of other programs.

But another round of Power-Four suitors entered the mix during the following weeks including new offers from Ole Miss, Colorado, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State.

And Oklahoma was ultimately able to flip him Oct. 1 with the opportunity for him to play in the SEC at the next level.

Now, LSU enters the equation less than three weeks until the early signing period Dec. 3 and less than three weeks since adding Tioga star Kervin Johnson Jr. to the class.

Johnson, a Louisiana Tech commitment at the time, received an offer from the Tigers on Oct. 25 during his visit for their previous most-recent home game against Texas A&M and another his flip despite the program’s coaching change that weekend.

The 6-foot-3, 190-pound multisport standout joined another pair of in-state wide receiver commitments in Kenny Darby (Airline) and Jabari Mack (Destrehan).

Interim coach Frank Wilson III, co-offensive coordinator and wide receiver coach Cortez Hankton and company will now work to add another local talent to that group.

Allen’s cousin, defensive back Jordan Allen, signed with LSU in 2022 and spent two years in Baton Rouge before transferring this winter to Houston.
