Watch Dunham vs. Ascension Catholic | LHSAA Network GOTW

A pair of the Baton Rouge area’s top small-schools programs will continue their tightly contested non-district rivalry Thursday.

Dunham (2-1), the No. 4 team in the LSWA Class 2A poll, will make the trip to Donaldsonville to face Ascension Catholic (2-1), the No. 10 team in the LSWA Class 1A poll.

The Tigers have beaten the Bulldogs each of the past three seasons, but with the games divided by a combined five points in what has become a consistently thrilling annual matchup in the first half of every year’s schedule.

The LHSAA Network will broadcast the latest installment of the series, with kickoff scheduled for 7 p.m. from Floyd Boutte Memorial Stadium.

And Louisiana vs. All Y’all will be on hand for live coverage on social media, as well as a postgame story and interviews on the site and channel.

Dunham boasts the headline prospects including star junior quarterback Elijah Haven and seniors Jarvis Washington Jr. (South Alabama), Trevor Haman, Richard Mongtomery Jr. and Colin Pecue (Massachusetts Maritime) among some of the most notable names on a talented roster.

And the always-stout Ascension Catholic group this year includes three-phase standout Trevin Simon, defensive end and running back Joshua Barber, lineman Vaughn Blanchard, tight end and defensive lineman Christopher Anthens and linebacker John Rob Daigle among some players to watch.
