Halloween proved a happy holiday for most of Louisiana’s top high school football teams.
But Class 5A will see some shakeup after two top-five and four top-10 losses to headline just eight Week 9 losses overall for the state’s 50 total top-10 teams in five classifications.
Five of those eight losses by top-10 teams came to fellow ranked opponents, with the other three to foes receiving votes, but just outside of their respective top 10s. But the results will still be some definite shifts in the LSWA statewide polls heading into the final week of the regular season.
The LSWA compiles “How They Fared” lists each week, which we will share to provide a big-picture rundown of the biggest stories each week of high school action.
