LSU dipped back into familiar territory Tuesday — after a slight delay — for its latest recruiting win.
Ruston safety Jayden Anding announced his commitment to the home-state Tigers over Ole Miss, Kansas State and a long list of other options.
He was originally slated for a July 1 commitment, this past Wednesday, before a slight brake-pump for a few more days discussing details and
The 6-foot, 165-pound standout becomes the Bearcats’ second rising senior to pledge to the purple-and-gold after tight end Ahmad Hudson did so in early May.
LSU also signed top Ruston prospects in the 2024 and 2025 classes in defensive lineman Ahmad Breaux and corner Aidan Anding, Jayden’s older brother.
The Tigers now hold 16 pledges for the class, including seven in-state stars, and have been on an absolute hot streak the first half of the summer with 12 of those additions coming in the past month.
Anding is the No. 12 overall prospect and No. 2 defensive back in Louisiana vs. All Y’all’s 2027 class rankings and has been among the biggest names in that class throughout his high school career.
He joins Manvel, Texas star Greedy James as the second safety landed by LSU in the past week after the Tigers managed to flip the four-star away from his home-state Texas Longhorns this past weekend.
