Quite a busy week in The Boot, and so a fitting time for the first in-person “Recruit Dat Boot” episode in the Louisiana vs. All Y’all show’s nearing three-year run.
Co-hosts Jerit Roser and Sam Spiegelman crossed paths Monday after stops at LSU for Will Wade’s re-introduction press conference and trips to visit with two of Louisiana’s top 2027 prospects in Sam Houston offensive lineman Albert Simien and Dunham quarterback Elijah Haven.
A busy day left plenty to unpack in and of itself — not to mention updates from the Under Armour Next camp in New Orleans the guys previewed last week or the newly scheduled Thursday, April 2, commitment date for Lake Charles College Prep star Javon Vital Jr.
Jerit and Sam break down all the updates on those top-ranked rising seniors and a long list of top performers from Sunday’s event.
Plus, the camp discussion opened tangents into topics such as the development of 2027 Brother Martin wide receiver Easton Royal and 2028 John Curtis defensive back Jaden Keelen, both of whom were again among the day’s best; the growing strength of Louisiana’s 2027 quarterback and 2028 running back classes; and intriguing rising senior prospects such as Edna Karr edge rusher Juelz Batiste and University Lab defensive tackle Maison Smith adjusting to life after Richard Anderson‘s and Lamar Brown‘s graduations.
