St. Charles Catholic reclaimed the No. 1 spot in Class 3A in the Louisiana Sports Writers Association’s statewide polls following its victory in a 1-vs-2 showdown with St. James.

The change atop Class 3A was the most notable among slight shifts overall in the latest lists released Monday morning.

Ranked matchups also produced shakeup in the Class 5A top 10, including a pair of undefeated teams in Barbe and Mandeville cracking the list at No. 9 and No. 10, respectively.

Leesville joined the otherwise unchanged Class 4A top 10, and Vandebilt Catholic overtook No. 10 in Class 3A.

Calvary Baptist in Class 2A remains the state’s lone unanimous No. 1 team in any classification for the third straight week.
