The big dominoes of Louisiana’s 2027 recruiting class are starting to fall more rapidly now as spring football around the state approaches.
Cecilia star Braylon Calais announced his commitment Monday to home-state LSU over Miami, Houston, Texas A&M, Ohio State and Ole Miss.
The three-phase standout and big, physical pass-catcher helped cap a span of less than 72 hours that saw big in-state additions to recruiting classes up and down I-10 as Louisiana (Lafayette) landed Ferriday wide receiver Robert Taylor on Friday and Marksville athlete Devin “Bam” Lavalais committed to Tulane on Sunday as a likely safety at the next level.
Dunham quarterback Elijah Haven will keep the developments rolling Saturday with the state’s highest-ranked, highest-profile announcement of the spring yet, though his decision will take him farther from home to either Alabama or Georgia.
Louisiana vs. All Y’all “Recruit Dat Boot” co-hosts Jerit Roser and Sam Spiegelman recapped all the past week’s action and previewed Haven’s imminent SEC move.
The guys also ran down the rest of Louisiana’s top-10 prospects on their respective rankings lists and shared which players to monitor most closely as the potential next of the bunch to come to college decisions, along with other updates on official-visit schedules coming into focus.
