Edna Karr’s 27-20 defeat of Archbishop Rummel in a high-profile battle of undefeated Catholic League teams and St. Thomas More’s 35-14 handling of previously unbeaten Barbe helped headline the marquee matchups.
But notable action — including a wide range of surprises, thrillers and statement wins — filled the state.
