Several former Louisiana high school stars are among the notable names already on the move during this opening days of the NCAA’s 2026 transfer portal.

Whether returning back closer to home or venturing farther for bigger opportunities, a slew of former local standouts will don new college uniforms this year.

Here’s a rundown of some of top names and where they’re landing in the nation’s annual game of musical chairs. We will work to keep this post updated as more information becomes available throughout January.

OT Tyree Adams (St. Augustine):
LSU —> Texas A&M

The Tigers’ starting left tackle marks the second member of the offensive line room in Baton Rouge in 2025 to head to Texas A&M during this transfer portal window, joining left guard Coen Echols. After taking a redshirt in 2023, the 6-foot-7, 310-pound Adams started a combined 11 games the past two years — nine coming this fall, but a number brought by injuries each of the past two seasons. Before taking over the left tackle role on a more full-time capacity in 2025, he provided a versatile swingman in the rotation as a redshirt freshman in 2024 with snaps at all four tackle and guard positions behind the veteran core on that year’s team.

EDGE Jonathan Bax (Edna Karr):
TCU —> Florida Atlantic

Bax signed with TCU as one of Louisiana’s higher-ranked prospects in 2023, appeared primarily on special teams during 10 games as a true freshman and then spent the past two seasons in the rotation with 20 tackles, including 2.5 for loss and one sack, in 25 games, along with two forced fumble and one recovery.

WR Kylan Billiot (Terrebonne):
LSU —> James Madison

The highly ranked prospect in the 2024 class spent two season in Baton Rouge, making his lone appearance this fall against Southeastern Louisiana. The 6-foot-3, 193-pound athlete is a former two-sport star at Terrebonne with three years of eligibility remaining as he joins former Louisiana (Lafayette) coach Billy Napier and the new James Madison staff in Harrisonburg, Va.

WR Daniel Blood (Destrehan):
Missouri —> Washington State

The former state-championship wide receiver from Destrehan has reportedly signed with Washington State to finish his college career after three seasons at Missouri. The 5-foot-10, 187-pound speedster has caught 15 passes for 152 yards in 36 career games and returned four punts in 2024 for limited yardage.

DL Ahmad Breaux (Ruston):
LSU —> Kentucky

A bit of a Louisiana-to-Lexington pipeline may be brewing since former Louisiana Tech and LSU offensive coordinator Joe Sloan’s arrival at Kentucky this winter. The Wildcats proved a quick SEC pivot for Airline wide receiver Kenny Darby when Lane Kiffin took over in Baton Rouge and shook up the Tigers’ recruiting class in the days entering the early signing period. And this weekend they added another former north Louisiana high school star.

Breaux, a star on a loaded Ruston defense in 2023, finally the Bearcats get back over the hump in 2023 to the program’s first state championship since 1990 and was an early darling of home-state LSU’s 2024 freshman class as a season-long contributor in the defensive line rotation. The 6-foot-3, 278-pound athlete played in 13 games that year, including two starts, and wrapped up 17 tackles, including 1.5 for loss. But he saw that role plateau, if not slip back some, behind a transfer-heavy defensive front this fall with 12 appearances, no starts, 19 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and 0.5 sacks.

DB Jyaire Brown (Warren Easton):
Central Florida —> Southern Miss

The former Warren Easton standout, who played at home-state LSU in 2024, had made another move from Central Florida, closer to home at Southern Miss for what figures the final stop of his college career. Brown finished high school in Ohio and began his college career with two seasons at Ohio State before 2024 in Baton Rouge and 2024 at UCF. He appeared in 11 games this fall as a redshirt junior, including one start, and wrapped up seven tackles.

LS Daniel Cheveallier (West Monroe):
Western Illinois —> Southeastern Louisiana

The 6-foot, 210-pound specialist is heading back closer to home after a freshman season with the Leathernecks, a Division-I FCS program in Macomb, Ill.

QB Zeon Chriss (Madison Prep):
Houston —> Tulane

The former state championship-winning Madison Prep star appeared poised over the weekend to return to Baton Rouge and finish his college career just down Scenic Highway from his old high school stomping grounds. But Tulane emerged early in the week as a new option and favorite and ultimately landed his signature Wednesday. Chriss signed with the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2022 and spent two seasons in Lafayette, appearing in 12 games, including six starts as a sophomore, and completing 111 of his 168 passes for 1,331 yards, 12 touchdowns and six interceptions and rushing for another six scores. He transferred to Houston and former Tulane coach Willie Fritz in 2024 and played in 17 games the past two seasons, including seven starts, and completed 93 of his 151 passes for 932 yards, five touchdowns and nine interceptions and rushing for another four scores.

QB Rickie Collins (Woodlawn-Baton Rouge):
Syracuse —> Kennesaw State

The former Woodlawn (Baton Rouge) star and LSU signee landed Thursday with Kennesaw State after spending 2025 with Syracuse. The 6-foot-2, 210-pound quarterback played in seven games for the Orange and completed 97 of his 181 passes for 1,042 yards, six touchdowns and 10 interceptions and rushed 54 times for 126 yards and another score. He spent the previous two years with his hometown Tigers, seeing limited action in four games and completed all seven of his passes for 38 yards and rushed seven times for 37 yards. He joins the Owls with two years of eligibility remaining.

RB Ronnie Crosby III (DeRidder):
Texas A&M —> Southern

Crosby joined Texas A&M as a preferred walk-on in 2023 after a standout prep career at DeRidder. After not seeing the field his first two years in College Station, he earned a carry this fall against Samford. Now, he’ll return to his home state for an opportunity at Southern.

OL Joseph Cryer (Many + Natchitoches):
McNeese State —> Northwestern State

The former Many state champion and Natchitoches Central standout is headed back home to Northwestern State for his fourth college stop in just over two years. Cryer signed with LSU in 2024 and spent the spring in Baton Rouge before transferring to Southern Miss, where he played 97 snaps in four games that fall, and then McNeese State, where he played in nine games in 2025.

LB Tackett Curtis (Many):
Wisconsin —> Central Florida

Another former Louisiana Mr. Football decided on a new college home Tuesday as the hard-hitting Many product signed with Central Florida after two seasons at Wisconsin. Curtis capped a decorated prep career in 2022 with several superlative honors for a senior season in which he recorded 112 tackles, including 16 for loss and sick sacks, and intercepted three passes and rushed for 1,115 yards and 11 touchdowns to lead his Tigers to a second state championship in three years. He signed with USC in 2023 and played in 12 games, including eight starts, as a true freshman with 40 tackles, including four for loss and two sacks. Curtis played in 24 games in two seasons with the Badgers with 56 tackles, 2.5 for loss and a sack.

DL Kameron Cyprien (Carencro):
Coffeyville CC —> Southern Miss

The former standout defensive lineman and tight end for Carencro earned some notable Division-I recruiting attention late in his high school career before going the junior-college route where he played 17 games the past two years for the Red Ravens and totaled 51 tackles, including 12 for loss and give sacks, plus two forced fumbles and three pass breakups. He makes his leap to Southern Miss now, listed as a junior on the Golden Eagles’ roster.

WR Jaylon Domingeaux (Comeaux):
Southeastern Louisiana —> Wisconsin

The three-year starter made huge strides in production every year in Hammond up to an all-conference junior campaign this fall with team-highs of 52 catches for 857 yards and 11 touchdowns and averages of 16.5 yards per catch and 65.9 yards per game. Domingeaux wraps his career with the Lions with 106 receptions for 1,512 yards and 14 scores as he heads north to a Big Ten opportunity in Madison, Wisc.

RB Elijah “Bill” Davis (Riverside Academy):
Louisiana (Lafayette) —> Virginia Tech

As productive as any Louisiana native leaving the state this month for another opportunity, “the Bill-dozer” will make the leap to Virginia Tech after starring in the backfield in Lafayette. Davis signed with the Ragin’ Cajuns in 2023 as a recruiting steal after a prolific prep career at Riverside in which he racked up 4,999 yards and 65 touchdowns and a pair of LSWA all-state selections.

The 5-foot-9, 225-pound back redshirted as a freshman, but still appeared in five games and ran for 189 yards and three touchdowns before leading the team in rushing the past two years. He finished his time in Lafayette with 1,612 yards and 18 scores on 336 carries in 29 games. Virginia Tech was led on the ground this past fall by a 2025 transfer-portal find in Marcellous Hawkins, who arrived from Central Missouri and racked up 768 yards on 118 carries.

QB T.J. Finley (Ponchatoula):
Georgia State —> Incarnate Word

The 2019 LSWA Class 5A all-state selection, an LSU and Auburn starter earlier in his college career, has decided upon his seventh stop of his college career. Finley recently told The Advocate he was searching for the right fit for his final opportunity to potentially set himself up for a leap to the NFL, and he landed Tuesday with an Incarnate Word program that has proven a springboard or turnaround for multiple quarterbacks in recent years, including eventual No. 1 overall pick Cam Ward. Finley enjoyed a breakout or rebound season in 2023 at Texas State with nearly 3,500 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 13 starts before injuries derailed most of his 2024 at Western Kentucky and half of his 2025 at Georgia State.

OL Jude Foster (Southern Lab):
Ole Miss —> Liberty

The former Southern Lab state champion will move on to a new opportunity at Liberty after two years in Oxford, Miss., where he appeared in one game this fall on a special teams snap.

CB Wallace Foster IV (Warren Easton):
LSU —> Florida Atlantic

The former Warren Easton star is heading to south Florida with three years of eligibility remaining after seeing limited action in two years with the home-state Tigers with three appearances and one tackle.

WR TaRon “ManChild” Francis (Edna Karr):
LSU —> West Virginia

One of Louisiana’s top 2025 prospects is headed to Morgantown, W.V., where he’ll arrive along with some familiar faces. After a redshirt season in Baton Rouge, “ManChild” will reunite with his high school quarterback John Johnson III, who was one of a duo of Edna Karr signees with the Mountaineers last month along with wide receiver Greg Wilfred.

S Jardin Gilbert (University Lab):
LSU —> Mississippi State

The White Castle native and former U-High star will head to Mississippi State to finish his college career after three years at Texas A&M and two at hometown LSU. He’ll have the opportunity for potentially a fourth full season on the field after a medical redshirt his final season with the Aggies and being held out this fall with the Tigers to preserve a redshirt. He has totaled 145 tackles and three interceptions through his three full seasons and portions of two others.

P Badger Hargett (Ascension Episcopal):
LSU —> UAB

The highly touted punter, one of the best to come through Louisiana in recent years, committed this week to the Blazers after three years as a reserve for the home-state Tigers.

OL Lance Heard (Bastrop + Neville):
Tennessee —> Kentucky

The highly touted tackle will head to a third SEC program to wrap up his college career. Heard played in all 12 regular-season games for home-state LUS in 2023, including one start, before starting the past two years at Tennessee. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound standout has graded out well and earned accolades such as 2023 SEC All-Freshman Team and 2025 Coaches All-SEC Third-Team recognitions.

WR Destyn Hill (Edna Karr):
LSU —> Tulane

The 6-foot-1, 197-pound pass-catcher was a highly touted prospect coming out of Edna Karr in 2021, but has had a delayed start to college and a series of injuries hold him back from reaching that potential thus far. Hill appeared in 10 games, including two starts, at Florida State before missing the entire 2024 season with the Seminoles and portions of 2025 at LSU. Now, he’ll transfer even closer to home with the Green Wave with two seasons of eligibility remaining.

DL Melvin Hills III (Lafayette Christian):
Texas —> UConn

The former record-setting Lafayette Christian defensive lineman heads to Connecticut with three seasons of eligibility remaining after redshirting his first season in Autin, then seeing sparing action this fall with one tackle in four appearances. Hills graduated from LCA with career program records of 41 tackles for loss and 22.5 sacks, the latter of which still tops the Knights’ list.

QB Eli Holstein (Zachary):
Pittsburgh —> Virgina

One of the headliners of Louisiana’s highly touted 2023 quarterback class, the former Zachary state champion will head to Virginia after two years at Pittsburgh. The one-time Alabama signee redshirted his first year of college in Tuscaloosa before completing 115 of his 188 passes for 1,566 yards, 15 touchdowns and three interceptions and rushing 60 times for another 153 yards and a score in 11 games for the Panthers.

QB Walker Howard (St. Thomas More):
Louisiana (Lafayette) —> Ole Miss

The Lafayette native will reportedly return to Ole Miss after spending a year with the Ragin’ Cajuns during which he was mostly sidelined by an injury suffered in the season opener. Howard initially signed with LSU in 2022 and appeared in two games during a redshirt season that fall before moving on to Ole Miss for 2023 and 2024. He went 3-for-6 for 56 yards in four appearances for the Rebels before transferring to the Ragin’ Cajuns last offseason. But the early-season injury and the emergence of D’Wanye’ “Lunch” Winfield at the helm of the offense ultimately limited Howard to six offensive appearances in which he finished 18-for-41 for 155 yards and three interceptions through the air and rushed 15 times for 82 yards and another score.

P John Hoyet Chance (Captain Shreve):
Louisiana Tech —> TCU

“Leg-a-tron” was a star in his specialist role this fall as a redshirt freshman in Ruston and has parlayed that performance into a Big-12 opportunity at nearby TCU, where former Louisiana Tech coach Sonny Dykes enters his fifth season. Chance, a former LSWA Class 5A all-state punter, boomed 66 kicks for an average of 47.3 yards this fall with 33 for 50-plus yards, a long of 72 yards and 28 downed inside the 20-yard line. He also kicked off 64 times for 57 touchbacks and finished 4-for-7 on field goals and 3-for-3 on extra-points.

WR Josh Jackson (St. Augustine):
McNeese State —> LSU

The New Orleans native finally added a little local flavor to LSU’s transfer-portal reload of its entire roster and particularly its receiving corps. Jackson was a one-time Tulane commitment during the 2024 recruiting cycle before flipping to UAB, spending a redshirt season with the Blazers and then this past fall with McNeese State. He marks the Tigers’ 19th addition of the week and sixth receiver.

S Treylan James (Madison Prep):
Southern —> LSU

The ballhawking safety continued adding some late local flavor to LSU’s burgeoning transfer class with his commitment Friday night to the hometown Tigers. The 6-foot-3, 190-pound veteran signed with Prairie View A&M after a standout high school career at Madison Prep and spent two years with the Panthers before returning home in 2025 at Southern. He totaled 26 tackles in 11 games this fall with the Jaguars, including three stops behind the line, for the most productive season of his college career thus far.

DB Jahiem “Joker” Johnson (Hammond):
Tulane —> Arkansas

The now-former Tulane standout announced his commitment Tuesday evening to Arkansas. The speedy multisport and three-phase standout signed with the Green Wave in 2023 and worked his way up the depth chart from redshirting as a true freshman to playing a smaller role in 14 appearances in 2024 to being among the team’s top performers this fall with 42 tackles, four interceptions, 13 passes defensed and one forced fumble. Now he makes the leap to the SEC and will have the opportunity to play against home-state LSU later this year.

ATH Ju’Juan Johnson (Lafayette Christian):
LSU —> Syracuse

The former record-setting Lafayette Christian quarterback spent two seasons in Baton Rouge being shuffled between defensive back, quarterback and running back roles — finally getting his biggest opportunities at the last of those positions — before opting this winter for a change of scenery. Johnson played in 26 games for LSU, including one start this fall, and carried 48 times for 169 yards and two touchdowns, while catching 22 passes for 94 yards and another score. He committed Tuesday to Syracuse.

Johnson finished his high school career as the most prolific athlete in Louisiana history with 14,451 total yards and 171 total touchdowns and earned LSWA Class 4A All-State and Louisiana Mr. Football honors to cap his decorated career in which he helped lead the Knights to four straight title games.

OL JaKolby Jones (Many):
Louisiana (Lafayette) —> LSU

The former state champion at Many was slated to join the Ragin’ Cajuns this spring after spending the past two years at Copiah-Lincoln, but will instead make his home-state return about an hour east in Baton Rouge. The right tackle was regarded as one of the higher-ranked JUCO prospects available this winter.

WR Keith Jones Jr. (Edna Karr):
Grambling State —> Penn State

The basketball standout brought another talented, but raw weapon to the always-dangerous Edna Karr wide receiving corps late in his high school career and earned a college opportunity for his tall, long frame, athleticism and intriguing potential. Jones exploded as Grambling State’s leading receiver this fall as a redshirt freshman with 31 catches for 438 yards and four touchdowns and will now make the leap to the Big Ten and the Nittany Lions for an opportunity to continue his development in one of the nation’s premier conferences.

OL Greg Knox (Peabody):
McNeese State —> UMass

Knox will continued his career in the northeast after three years close to home at McNeese State, including the past two as a starting tackle for the Cowboys. The 6-foot-6, 303-pound lineman was an intriguing prospect, but a bit of a sleeper in Louisiana’s 2023 class with a few FCS offers and some interest from LSU among others. After a redshirt season in Lake Charles that fall, he developed into a cornerstone on the front line and will now work to be the same for the Minutemen.

OL Khayree Lee Jr. (John Ehret):
LSU —> South Alabama

Lee will head to South Alabama with three years of eligibility after spending the first two years of his college career at home-state LSU without seeing any playing time during 2024 redshirt and 2025 freshman seasons.

RB J.T. Lindsey (Alexandria):
LSU —> Ole Miss

The prolific former Alexandria running back and 2024 Warrick Dunn Award winner will follow LSU position coach Frank Wilson III to Ole Miss after a redshirt season this fall. The 6-foot, 191-pound athlete was a two-sport standout for the Trojans in high school, including a 10.85-second 100-meter dash and more than 4,000 yards and 59 touchdowns rushing his final two seasons to help lead the program’s first-ever undefeated regular season and second-ever title-game appearance.

RB/ATH Jaylin Lucas (Terrebonne + Edna Karr):
Florida State —> Tulane

The one-time Tulane commitment will indeed have the opportunity to play some college ball uptown after a pledge Tuesday to return to the home-state Green Wave via the transfer portal. Lucas flipped to Indiana just before signing day in the 2022 recruiting cycle and enjoyed exciting moments during two seasons with the Hoosiers. “J-Luc” appeared in 24 games, rushed 123 times for 553 yards and five touchdowns, caught 51 passes for 330 yards and two scores and returned a combined 54 kicks and punts for 1,209 yards and three more end-zone trips. He suffered a season-ending injury early in his junior season at Florida State in 2024 before returning and appearing in 12 games this fall, but in a more limited capacity. He carried 27 times for 160 yards, caught 11 passes for 88 yards and returned a combined 12 kicks and punts for 239 yards.

LB Princeton Malbrue (Lafayette Christian):
LSU —> Louisiana (Lafayette)

The former Lafayette Christian standout will return to his hometown as a celebrated transfer signing for the Ragin’ Cajuns after four years with the home-state Tigers. Malbrue began his college career at Northwestern State in the midst of the chaotic, COVID-delayed 2020 season. He played two seasons with the Demons, both in the 2021 calendar year, and totaled 13 tackles in seven games. He totaled 18 tackles during his four years in Baton Rouge where he played 13 games in 2023 and rebounded from a 2024 injury to make 12 appearances again this fall.

OL Christian Martin (Destrehan):
Colorado State —> Illinois

The former state champion and all-district standout at Destrehan will make the leap to the Big Ten as part of a retooled Illinois offensive line this year. Martin spent the first three seasons of his college career working his way up the Colorado State depth chart from a redshirt 2023 season to 13 appearances primarily on special-teams and goal-line units in 2024 to starting 12 games this past fall as a redshirt sophomore.

WR Omarion Miller (North Caddo):
Colorado —> Arizona State

The one-time LSU commitment during Ed Orgeron’s tenure in Baton Rouge before a coaching change sparked him ultimately landing in Boulder, Colo. is now on the move further west after more than 1,000 yards in three years with the Buffaloes. Miller played in 10 games as a freshman, but particularly exploded late with a seven-catch, 196-yard performance against USC in which he found the end zone for the first time in his college career. He totaled 450 yards and two scores on 21 receptions his first two seasons before making his big leap this fall as Colorado’s leading receiver with 808 yards and eight touchdowns on 45 catches in 11 games.

WR Darren Morris (Southern Lab):
Southern —> Boise State

Speedy wide receiver Darren Morris will reportedly leave The Bluff for the final season of his college career with a commitment Tuesday afternoon to Boise State. The former Southern Lab star won a state championship with the Kittens in 2021 and then spent the past four years across the street with the Jaguars from a redshirt season in 2022 in which he saw limited action to three straight seasons with double-digit appearances and receptions and at least 200 yards and two scores. Morris wraps up his time at the hometown program with 1,111 yards and eight touchdowns on 74 catches in 35 games.

WR Javen Nicholas (St. Augustine):
Charlotte —> Duke

The former St. Augustine standout and LSU walk-on has bounced back to the Power-Four level after a breakout redshirt junior campaign at Charlotte this fall with 50 catches for 740 yards and five touchdowns, plus eight punt returns for another 99 yards and seven rushes for 36 yards. Nicholas worked primarily on special teams during his time in Baton Rouge before also worked his way into the offense for a handful of receptions.

K/P Aidan Parker (Sterlington):
Tulane —> Southeastern Louisiana

Parker, a standout in his specialist roles for perennial power Sterlington in recent years, spent this fall at Tulane and committed Wednesday to Southeastern Louisiana where he’ll head in hopes of more of an opportunity to get on the field.

RB Jasper Parker (Archbishop Shaw):
Michigan —> Arkansas

The former Archbishop Shaw star will make his way back closer to home after seeing limited action as a freshman during a tumultuous season overall for Michigan. Parker, one of the highest-ranked prospects in Louisiana’s loaded 2025 running back class, appeared in six games this season for the Wolverines and carried 25 times for 93 yards and two touchdowns.

RB Zylan Perry (Franklin):
Louisiana (Lafayette) —> Cincinnati

The Ragin’ Cajuns will have to replace both halves of their star running back duo. Like Davis, Perry will bounce his way to a Power-Four opportunity in Cincinnati. The speedy 5-foot-11, 214-pound back will have a season of eligibility remaining after four years in Lafayette in which he totals 1,634 yards and 14 touchdowns on 40 carries, caught 27 passes for 155 and returned 51 kickoffs for an average of 25.2 yards per opportunity and a 95-yard score.

WR Shazz Preston (St. James):
Tulane —> Indiana

The former St. James star is bouncing back to another Power-Four opportunity, he announced Monday with a commitment to No. 1 Indiana ahead of the Hoosiers’ national-title game next week vs. Miami. Preston transferred home from Alabama to Tulane in 2024 and worked his way back through injury to a breakout junior campaign this fall. The 6-foot, 206-pound wide receiver caught 43 passes for 723 yards and four touchdowns in 2025 to bring his two-year totals with the Green Wave to 47 receptions, 822 yards and two scores.

S Christian Pritchett (St. Augustine):
Georgia Tech —> Kansas

The 6-foot-2, 195-pound safety is changing scenery for his final two years of eligibility after seeing limited action the past two seasons. Pritchett played in a combined 16 games with the Yellow Jackets, primarily on special teams, with eight tackles.

DB Anthony Richard Jr. (Lafayette Christian):
Southern Miss —> Memphis

The former Lafayette Christian standout and a sleeper prospect in the pandemic-disrupted 2021 recruiting cycle continued making his way up the college ranks with another move Monday. Richard spent two years at Harding, one at Northwestern State and one at Marshall before enjoying a career-best redshirt senior season this fall at Southern Miss with 31 tackles, including 0.5 for loss, and two interceptions and 10 passes defenses in 13 games.

DB Michael Richard (Edna Karr):
Louisiana Tech —> Michigan State

“MikeMike” is making the leap the Power Four in Big Ten member Michigan State. The former Edna Karr standout earned his way onto the field and even into the starting lineup in Ruston as a true freshman in 2023 and didn’t much look back during three seasons with the Bulldogs. Richard appeared in 34 games and wrapped up 104 tackles, including 7.5 for loss, and intercepted three passes — all led by a career-year as a junior with 39 tackles, five tackles for loss and three interceptions this fall.

OL Jayven Richardson (East Ascension):
Missouri —> Colorado

The former East Ascension standout will head to coach Deion Sanders and company in Boulder, Colo., for the next stop of his college career after two seasons as a backup at Missouri, including 10 appearances this fall as the Tigers’ third tackle with the versatility to back up either side of the line. Richardson spent his first two years at Hutchinson Community College out of high school.

WR Daejawn “Dae Dae” Smith (South Plaquemines + Edna Karr):
Louisiana Tech —> Southern

The electric former Edna Karr wide receiver felt like a steal for Louisiana Tech in last year’s signing class, but after a redshirt season in Ruston, he’ll head back to south Louisiana for an opportunity on The Bluff.

CB Ashton Stamps (Archbishop Rummel):
LSU —> Arizona State

Stamps will head west for a fresh start with the Sun Devils after falling out of LSU’s rotation early in the season and leaving the team in October to preserve a year of eligibility. The 6-foot, 190-pound cornerback signed with the home-state Tigers as a relatively under-the-radar, but promising prospect in 2023, but ended shouldering a heavy load early as a true freshman out of need at the position. He played 14 games, including 17 starts, during his first two college seasons and tallied 74 tackles, including 48 solo stops, and 16 pass breakups in that span before playing just limited time in three games early this past fall.

CB Macho Stevenson (Captain Shreve):
Texas Tech —> Tulane

The Green Wave continued their run of bringing former Louisiana prep standouts back to their home state after Power-Four stints elsewhere Thursday with the commitment of Marquez “Macho” Stevenson. The speedy cornerback and special teams standout spent three years in Lubbock where he redshirted in 2023, saw notable playing time in 2024 and then only limited action this fall on a rebuild Red Raiders roster. His redshirt freshman season was his highlight with 12 appearances, including three starts at cornerback and 23 tackles, a couple of pass breakups and a forced fumble. He played in 13 games this fall, but almost entirely on special teams with just a handful of defensive snaps.

WR Ja’Cory Thomas (Walker):
Old Dominion —> Vanderbilt

The multisport standout at Walker was an intriguing Louisiana vs. All Y’all favorite in the state’s 2023 class and has excelled at both the JUCO and FBS levels now to parlay his development into an SEC opportunity in 2026. Thomas caught 23 passes for 375 yards and two touchdowns in 2024 to help lead Hutchinson Community College to a JUCO national championship, then followed up with 719 yards and five touchdowns on 41 receptions in 12 games and 11 starts for Old Dominion this fall.

WR Kolby Thomas (Calvary Baptist):
Louisiana Tech —> Southern Arkansas

“KT” capped his junior season with a state championship-winning touchdown in Caesars Superdome in 2023, then led the Cavaliers with an LSWA Class 2A all-state performance as a senior with 57 catches for 1,202 yards and 17 touchdowns. The quick-footed receiver redshirted this fall as a true freshman at Louisiana Tech, entered the transfer portal this winter and committed to nearby Southern Arkansas on visit Friday on the first day of the window.

DB Javion White (Franklin Parish):
Tulane —> Houston

The former Franklin Parish star has reportedly signed with Houston and coach Willie Fritz, who was leading Tulane when White initially committed two and a half years ago. White appeared in 11 games, including two starts, as a freshman in 2024 with 11 tackles and an interception before a breakout sophomore campaign this fall as a full-time starter with 50 tackles, including 3.5 for loss, and three interceptions and a fumble recovery in 14 games as a key piece of the Green Wave’s conference-championship and College Football Playoff run.

DB Carl Williams IV (Southern Lab):
Baylor —> Oregon

The former Southern Lab star spent a rollercoaster three years in Waco split between great stretches as one of the Bears’ top defensive players and stretches being sidelined by injuries. Williams totaled 56 tackles, including 35 solo stops and six tackles for loss, in 21 career games for Baylor with an interception, four passes defensed and two forced fumbles. He’ll have two seasons of eligibility remaining after missing most of this fall.
